Converting a PNG photo to JPG often makes it several times smaller, while converting to PNG is lossless and ideal for logos, screenshots and graphics with text.

Frequently asked questions
Which format should I choose?
Choose JPG for photos and when you need small files, PNG for logos, screenshots and transparent images, and WebP for the smallest files on websites.
Does converting reduce quality?
Converting to PNG is lossless. JPG and WebP are saved at high quality (92%), so the difference is not visible.
What happens to transparent backgrounds?
PNG and WebP keep transparency. JPG does not support it, so transparent areas become white.
Can I convert HEIC photos?
Not yet. HEIC support is on our list; for now, most iPhones can share photos as JPG from the share menu.
