About Fuel cost calculator
Planning a road trip or comparing a commute? This fuel cost calculator estimates how much you will spend on gas. Enter the distance, your car’s fuel economy and the price of fuel, choose one way or round trip, and split the total between passengers.
Use your car’s real-world MPG for the best estimate — highway driving is usually more efficient than city driving. For a quick check, a 250-mile trip in a 28 MPG car uses about 8.9 gallons; at $3.45 a gallon, that is about $30.80.
